Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring since 2016 in subjects such as history/social studies, English, and academic writing. My students have achieved high marks in their standardized tests and have gone on to enter advanced academic programs. Additionally, students I helped throughout my tenure in the IB program scored highly, specifically in English: Literature and Language A and History.

Since graduating with my IB diploma in 2022, I have continued to assist students in English, writing, and advanced history studies.

In 2020, I volunteered with Tutors for Change, specializing in ELA and beginner French. All of my students were highly successful and were considered on-target by the start of the following academic term.

Currently, I tutor a wide variety of students in subjects primarily related to English, History, and Public Speaking. I look forward to working with goal-oriented students to help them succeed in all their academic endeavors!

Tutoring Approach

My philosophy is that help for students should always be fun and accessible. Although it does take time and effort, all students deserve the opportunity to succeed. That is why, as a tutor, I provide ample resources to my students so that they may be successful beyond our sessions. Furthermore, I tailor my lessons and resources to the needs of each student. No two students are alike, and their individualized help should reflect that. That being said, every opportunity for growth can and should be made interactive and engaging for the student. Learning can be fun, and it is the responsibility of those guiding students to make gaining knowledge enjoyable and beneficial at the same time.

For the students I work with, there are no bad questions or sessions—there are only endless ways to grow and succeed at new levels. Whether their goals pertain to exam preparation, raising grades, or simply expanding their knowledge base, I always allow students the opportunity to express their curiosity and gaps in understanding in the way that makes sense to them. Students should always feel comfortable and confident in themselves as they take steps towards their goals, whatever those goals may be. These approaches allow students to not only strive for success but to find it perfectly within their reach.
