Yale University - BS Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry
My name is Jocelyn, and I am from Toronto, Canada. I just graduated from Yale with a BS in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry. Throughout my time there, I had the opportunity to serve as a peer tutor for several STEM classes ranging from calculus to organic chemistry. I really enjoy working with students and helping them develop confidence in their abilities. This fall, I will be attending medical school at the University of Pennsylvania.

Tutoring Experience
Throughout my undergraduate years at Yale, I served as a peer tutor in organic chemistry, physics, introductory calculus, and multivariable calculus. In these roles, I ran workshops and review sessions, held office hours for homework help, and worked one-on-one with students who were struggling. I also had the opportunity to work with students in summer enrichment programs that prepared them for college-level math and physics.
This past fall, I worked with a group of freshmen student-athletes in introductory calculus. As a student-athlete myself, I wanted my students to know that even with the demands of varsity athletics, it is possible to succeed academically. My greatest satisfaction as a tutor came from supporting my students through their transition to college and seeing them become confident both on the playing field and in the classroom.
