Tutoring Experience
At Sixth Form, I was the student head of mathematics, during which I had the opportunity to lead the student mentoring scheme.
During year 12, I was a mentor on the program, and I mentored GCSE Maths and Additional Maths to many different students and ability levels. In my final year at Sixth Form, I had the responsibility of leading and organising these sessions.
I was also a mentor. I have also privately tutored a couple of GCSE Maths students. Some of my students have achieved grade 9s in Maths and Additional Maths at GCSE.
Tutoring Approach
I have a passion for Mathematics and teaching.
I have tutored all ability levels, and have even coached and led the UKMT team challenge team at my school.
I like to teach through examples, spending the first part of each lesson on explaining the topic, and then the rest of the lesson going through examples.
I like to spend 40-50 minutes going through examples. My teaching style is flexible, and I have tutored many students at many different ability levels.
