Therefore, I always take the time to explain, and then re-explain difficult concepts to my student, even if it takes the whole session; we can’t move on if they don’t understand it.

I also ensure that they continually practice regurgitating that information, because it’s one thing to retain something in one’s memory, but quite another to be able to return to return to it at the required moment.
