My role as an examiner provides valuable insights into areas where students commonly lose marks, enabling me to create targeted activities in class that address typical mistakes or misunderstandings related to different command terms.

With over 15 years in education, I bring expertise as both a teacher and an International Baccalaureate (IB) examiner. Throughout my career, I've crafted strategies and materials for exam success.


As an educator and tutor, I swiftly identify students' challenges, creating effective strategies for their academic success. My IB examiner role has given me insight into the requirements for high-stakes assessments.


Recently, I've become a dedicated tutor for students across Europe and Asia. This allows me to maintain a positive, open-minded, and respectful approach, contributing to diverse cultural learning experiences and fostering academic achievement.

With over 15 years of experience, I have imparted knowledge in Mathematics and Biology at renowned international schools across Europe and South America. My expertise also extends to one-on-one tutoring for secondary and postsecondary students, covering subjects such as IB Math and Biology SL/HL, AP Calculus AB/BC, Statistics, Biology, A-Level Maths and Biology, as well as preparation for SAT and ACT exams. I take pride in mentoring students for the IB, assisting them from the initial stages of topic selection for IA and EE, right up to their final submissions. Many of my students have not only achieved their desired grades but have also secured admissions in prestigious universities in Europe and the US.

I specialize in science-based intervention strategies with a focus on building confidence and independent learning skills.

I assess every student for learning style and skill deficits and strengths, and create individually tailored lessons, problem sets and study plans.

As a former classroom teacher, I can also offer unique insight into exam structure and the application of assessment criteria. All of my students gain a better understanding of who they are as learners and how to maximise retainment and study efficiency in the future.

Above all, I believe in motivating students through positivity and humour, because it's hard to learn if you're miserable! I have a proven track record of building strong student relationships that result in measurable improvements in academic achievement and attitude, including successful remediation for exam resits.

I have taught secondary Mathematics and Biology at international schools in Europe and South America in addition to tutoring at the secondary and postsecondary level for over 15 years, including IB Math and Biology SL/HL; AP Calculus AB/BC, Statistics, Biology, and Environmental Science; A Level Maths and Biology; and the SAT and ACT exams.

For the IB, I have successfully guided students through both the IA and EE processes from topic selection to final submission. My students have gone on to achieve their target grades and gain admission to their target universities in Europe and the US.

Additionally, I have written course content for an online international school based in Europe in AS and A Level Biology, Environmental Management, Chemistry, and Physics, including textbook content, assessments and study guides. I have also published IB study guides for tutoring companies based in the US.

Prior to teaching, I worked as a medical scribe and clinical assistant in high-risk Obstetrics & Gynecology clinics in the US, with six years of experience in direct patient care.

My name is Kevin, and I am a fervent Geography Teacher. Having qualified in the UK in 1999, my experience spans over 22 years as both a teacher and an examiner. I am very flexible in the format used during our lessons. Whether it is zoom, skype, microsoft teams or google meet, whichever suits you. Lessons normally last an hour, but I can adjust this according to your needs.

The resources and revision packs provided will be sent before the lesson begins to ensure we maximize our time. I allow plenty of opportunities for students to engage in the learning as active participants to both ensure a memorable learning experience and to formatively check understanding.

I have worked with the IB as an examiner on Paper 3, IA and the Extended Essays. This has given me a unique insight into the keys to success for the IB Geography course. Also, I have worked as an Assistant Headteacher in London and been a Head of Humanities and Head of Geography, in both London and international schools.

As well as being an experienced teacher, I have tutored students online and face to face in a range of locations and time zones from China, Athens, Switzerland and the USA.
